you may feel worthy of some promotion but really deserve more. you may have recently had one shift that will manifest into a bigger one. its okay to ask for more, maybe even an amount that seems absurd or selfish at this time. don’t play it safe because you feel like modesty is better when the people who you are asking are looking for audacity, and have the resources to hand out. you dont see that someone is willing to hustle you if you don’t move accordingly, and will smile in your face knowing they lowballed you. they dont have to have forgiveness for your own shallow beliefs of your worth. ask for more and stand on it. it honestly may open you up to more opportunities, as people admire your shrewd behavior and know they have to come harder. people could literally admire your boss attitude that they fawn over you and give you what you ask.
